The complex of caves lying on a steep slope at various levels is located 5 kilometers to the east of Giyya in the north of the island. This is the most exciting place on the island, famous for its archaeological excavations. Under a thick layer of basalt, a tiered cave complex is hidden. About 300 caves are found in the soft tuff rock, reminiscent of a honeycomb.
The caves were used for grain storage, as well as worship.
